What happens when you combine the tastiest beers in Australia with a delicious Southern Italian street food?
Pirate Life and Panzerotti. That’s what!
We’ve done a lot of collabs over the journey but this could be the yummiest yet as we welcome to the Port Adelaide Brewery, two local champions of Apulian cuisine – Maurie Gagliardi, of the Panzerotti Bar and Matteo Giordano, head chef and owner of award winning café restaurant Pane e Latte.
Maurie and Matteo hail from the Puglia region in Italy (the spiritual home of the panzerotti) and they’re bringing their nonna’s treasured recipes to the brewery to share with you in one special afternoon to celebrate at the Adelaide Food Fringe in Port Adelaide.
What? You don’t know what a panzerotti is? Well, get ready to discover your new favourite Italian food at your favourite brewery. The panzerotti is a hand sized soft dough parcel filled with delicious simple quality ingredients then shallow or deep fried until golden to provide a slightly crispy exterior with a subtle soft inside that melts in your mouth.
And everyone that attends gets a free brewery tour too.
