Hunt & Gather: An Exhibition of Hospitality

Hunt & Gather is an immersive and interactive multi-media exhibition delving into the personal food customs of Adelaide’s diverse communities: a journey through time and place, of gathering stories and discovering something new.

Join the table with Sanaz, originally from Iran, as she discusses the tradition of Persian tea; listen to Margotta, Ints and Ulla recall traditional Latvian recipes of their childhood; and learn from Uncle Tamaru, an up and coming Kaurna elder, as he imparts ancient knowledge of local food lore. Listen, watch, taste, interact and consider what hospitality means to you.

To celebrate the exhibition join us at our opening event Friday 5.30pm to meet the community members in person and taste delicious ‘piragi’ and Persian tea.

This event ends at 8.30 on Friday and 5pm on Sat and Sun
